Eating Disorders Association of Pakistan (EDAOP) was officially launched on World Eating Disorders Action Day 2021 as a national initiative of Cyntax Health Projects (Pvt.) Ltd., Pakistan’s first female-led registered Contract Research Organization focused on health, education, and technology. After spearheading large-scale grassroots campaigns to raise awareness about eating disorders, Cyntax Health Projects identified the urgent need for a dedicated platform to address this critical and underrepresented public health issue in Pakistan. EDAOP was formed to align with both national and global goals—to advocate, research, educate, and support individuals and communities impacted by eating disorders across the country.
